I recently visited DeSerres Uptown to purchase materials for a deeply personal project, and my experience was made exceptional by Natasha, one of the sales associates. From the moment i approached her to ask for her help, Natasha’s kindness and genuine interest immediately eased my nerves about sharing details of my project. She gently asked questions to understand my vision and offered thoughtful recommendations tailored to my needs. Her demeanor was warm and supportive, instilling confidence in me without even knowing how much her approach mattered.

Natasha went above and beyond, walking with me through the store to find exactly what I needed. She even helped by taking the items up to the cash register while ensuring they were protected from potential damage. Noticing a long queue at checkout, Natasha promptly opened a second cash register without being asked, helping to reduce wait times for all customers. When it was my turn, she carefully processed my items, securely packaged them to protect against the rain, and sent me on my way feeling valued and appreciated.

The only area I would recommend for improvement would be to expand the variety of all-natural products, such as hemp-based papers and other eco-friendly options. Otherwise, my experience was exceptional, largely thanks to Natasha. Associates like her are a true asset to your company, and I hope DeSerres continues to cultivate such outstanding customer service.

Super store! It’s a larger Deserres and they had a big selection, especially in paints and canvas types. The cashier, I think Natasha? Was also super helpful with my member points when I didn’t have my card. Will be back for more supplies for sure. 🇨🇦support Canadian!🇨🇦

The customer service here is great. Donald always helps me out in the framing department, he is kind and patient. I have to give a shout out to John as well.... he is lovely and always greets me by my first name.

Has good stuff but the staff will just follow you around for 40 minutes instead of asking you to leave your bag at the front or if you need any help. Learned too much about staff members weekends. Would have rather gotten some advice about my project :/

It's alright, wish there were more crochet items (lack of restock and diversity).
They have only one set of safety eyes that's near embroidery that is the size of your palm, crochet needles are scattered in different sizes... Likewise to embroidery items, not much aida cloth selection..

DeSerres is Canadian! It's an excellent place to get your art supplies not because it's the biggest around but because it is staffed with knowledgeable artists and college level art students. They have always been able to answer my questions and give valuable advise.
While they may not have some of the discount deals, their regular and sales are completive.

This rating is specifically for the manager. Other sales staff were quite nice. I went in to do a return for something that I bought online. The manager was very standoffish and snarky. He was dismissive. And as I am ready to leave he states that, after all the prior snarky comments, they sell the brand of the item I’d bought and returned, but not the product itself. It was just another one of his many jabs. Being a past retail manager I am well aware of the inter transfers that go on within stores in the same district. So it’s no biggie on his part. He just needed to throw another jab. Why did he act this way. Maybe because I am just a fat old lady with a walker, and he hates the fact that at his life as a manager was not what he expected in life. Who knows. All I know is I walked in there with a positive attitude and I left there with a bad taste in my mouth.
